ELRAN SHAPIRA BAR-OR

Mr. Shapira Bar-Or is a graduate magna cum laude of the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law (LLB) and holds a master’s degree in law (LLM) from New York University, where he studied in the Legal Theory Program as a Hans Kelsen Scholar.

As a student, Mr. Shapira Bar-Or served as editor of the Tel Aviv University Law Review and as teaching assistant to legal scholar Professor Nili Cohen.

While still pursuing his LLB, Mr. Shapira Bar-Or developed his expertise on issues of public infrastructure privatization, earning the Law and Environment Program Prize from the Faculty of Law of the Tel Aviv University for his paper on privatization of water infrastructure in Israel.

Mr. Shapira Bar-Or clerked for Hon. Justice Yoram Danziger at the Supreme Court of Israel and previously worked as a litigator at a major Israeli law firm.

Mr. Shapira Bar-Or recently coauthored with legal scholar and former Minister of Justice, Professor Daniel Friedmann, the new edition of The Law of Unjust Enrichment, which is regularly cited in the Israeli Supreme Court rulings.
